“As the foodservice industry continues to navigate the pandemic, it’s more important than ever to continue to learn how to adapt your businesses to changing business and consumer environments, and that’s why conferences such as the Restaurant Summit are so critical to the industry,” says Todd Barclay, President & CEO of Restaurants Canada.

Bringing together some of Canada’s top foodservice industry leaders for four days of new insights, timely data, and networking opportunities, the Canadian Restaurant Investment & Leadership Summit is now in its 11th year. This year, the Summit will take place from November 1 – 4, 2021, in a virtual format, making it accessible for everyone across Canada to attend.

This year, the Restaurant Summit will again host a series of complimentary sessions that focus on the foodservice industry’s most topical issues. Each session will tap into the expertise of CEOs and executives from leading brands along with industry experts.

Attendees can register for sessions like: ‘Labour & Technology Panel’ featuring 7shifts CEO Jordan Boesch, and Chief People Officer Julie Denton of Recipe Unlimited Corporation; or ‘Ghost Kitchens and Virtual Concepts’ where guests can hear from George Kottas, Founder & CEO of Ghost Kitchen Brands, and Lola Kassim, Director & General Manager of Uber Eats Canada.

One of the most eagerly anticipated panels this year is The CEO Panel – Innovative Brands happening on November 2nd at 1:00 p.m. EST. Moderated by Restaurants Canada President & CEO Todd Barclay, the panel will spotlight Mandy Wolfe, Chef, and Co-Owner of Mandy’s Gourmet Salads, Ryan Moreno, CEO of Joseph Richard Group, James McInnes, Co-Founder & CEO of Odd Burger, and Court Desautels, CEO & Group Leader, Neighbourhood Group of Companies.

These industry pioneers will be sharing their perspectives on the future of the foodservice industry in Canada, discussing their experiences and journeys through the industry, and elaborating on how they have evolved their brands.

Attendees can register for this session to hear panelists covering a range of topics:

  • The evolution of the restaurant industry
  • Building a brand, a culture, and a following
  • The convergence of different business models
  • Building a team and environment for long term success

“We want to highlight and showcase for attendees how these four incredible businesses have evolved and what they are doing to carry them through the pandemic,”Barclay.
