Mark your calendars – August 5, 2017 is Food Day Canada, your opportunity to showcase the best of Canadian ingredients and culinary traditions. The celebration is an annual event, held on the August long weekend, and it honours everything that’s good about this country’s food. Food Day Canada takes on a special significance this year as we celebrate Canada 150.

You can be involved, too. Post images of your all-Canadian menu on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #FoodDayCanada, and you’ll be part of a nationwide album of Canadian food.

Restaurants Canada is pleased to support Food Day Canada  in honouring the food that’s nurtured, grown, and preserved across the nation. The event is led by Anita Stewart, culinary activist, Member of the Order of Canada, and author of 14  books on food.
